Job Description
Position Summary
Under the direction and guidance of the Associate Executive Director; responsible for support of the operational and managerial requirements. Plans, recommends, complies, reviews, interprets, implements, and evaluates statutory requirements and internal programs, policies, and procedures as required and mandated. Responsible for ensuring maximum quality of life for the residents according to the mission of Christian Living Communities. Promotes quality of life and exceptional customer service. Promotes and fosters unity, transparency and consistency in people and programs.
Essential Duties
- Assists in analyzing the various operations within the Healthcare Suites.
- Support residents as active citizens in their communities, with influence, meaning, autonomy, belonging and an overall sense of well-being.
- May compile and develop reporting on budget projections, revenue and expenses.
- Ensures all employees, residents and families are treated with the utmost respect
- Monitors industry regulations, laws, compliance updates and makes changes as appropriate.
- Uses time effectively to study for both Federal and State regulations and comes to a sound understanding of industry best practices. This includes ensuring that the Healthcare Suites are prepared for state survey.
- Understands staffing level requirements and ensures those are met.
- Assists in monitoring and directing execution of policy and procedural changes
- Actively involved in resolving HR issues and Risk Management situations within the Suites.
- May participates in Advisory committees.
- Assists in all safety programs.
- Develops relationships with the support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist with meeting/exceeding goals.
- Assists in contract negotiations with vendors under the direction of the Preceptor.
- Supports Clinical efforts by understanding QA measures and holding people accountable.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Education and/or Experience Required - Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in MS Office and other required technology related to the needs of the Community.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Must possess a Colorado driver’s license in good standing. Job may require occasional travel in and outside the state.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Frequently interacts with relevant stakeholders including team members, applicants, hiring managers, developers, consultants, brokers.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
