Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for the successful execution and management of all leases. Manages the entire life of all leases within all levels of service.  Adheres to renewal procedures and deadlines and meets with residents to present renewal information. Where appropriate, manages resident Lifecare contracts, prepares Lifecare refunds and assists with Lifecare transitions. Responsible for executing a variety of detailed bookkeeping tasks in accordance with standard accounting procedures.

Essential Duties

  • Manages petty cash; prepares bank deposits and processes accounts payable.  Maintains files and records pertaining to the function and runs reports as needed. As appropriate, assists community Directors in auditing financial performances.
  • Tracks census, occupancy, and other financial spreadsheets.
  • Prepares and distributes yearly rate increases.
  • Creates and distributes reports as required
  • Records and deposits chapel offering, performs insurance billing, and other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma, advanced education preferred.
  • 1-3 years bookkeeping experience required
  • Competent in accounting software relevant to the position (Excel or other common programs).
  • MAS knowledge and familiarity with Electronic Health Records preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
