Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for developing, organizing, delivering, and evaluating the clinical educational programs for all applicable team members. Oversight includes new and ongoing education, clinical orientation, and ongoing training to ensure regulatory and Organizational requirements are met. Collaborates closely with stakeholders to address job specific educational needs. Responsible for the development of clinical and professional skill sets using best practices to produce quality resident outcomes which encompass in-service education, e-learning programs, infection prevention, and corporate compliance.  This role will maintain health records as required by community and organizational policies. 

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for assessing, development, and implementation of clinical trainings to ensure the organization meets regulatory and quality requirements.  These may be in person, on-line, or in Community as needed.      
  • Coordinates relevant team members receive and maintain regulatory and Organizational required competencies monthly, or annually.  Manages training records for these events and may require reporting on completion.
  • Develops and monitors cost controls to utilize time, material, and resources in an effective & efficient manner.
  • Utilize multiple media and training methods to optimize learning.  Must be interactive and designed for all learning styles. 
  • Development of resources for relevant team members to ensure access to educational materials as needed. 
  • May provide one on one training when identified to ensure successful performance improvement. 
  • Will collaborate with clinical leadership teams, and human resources to develop training calendar available to all relevant team members.   
  • Responsible for record maintenance for relevant team members to ensure acceptable TB records are on file for newly hired team members, annually, and clinical licensure is valid and not inactive. 
  • Must maintain any relevant licensure or certifications 

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nursing License, in good standing required, in state of operation. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent experience in nursing preferred. Experience in Senior services preferred for these years as well.
  • Must possess a Colorado driver’s license in good standing. Job requires travel to Denver Metro Communities. 
  • Training and/or Staff Development experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a nurse in senior services.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design, develop and execute clinical training programs. Should be comfortable delivering coaching and training solutions to relevant parties.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must exhibit excellent oral and written skills

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with team members and residents frequently.
