Job Description

Position Summary                                                     

Responsible for tracking, coding, distribution, monitoring, ordering, and billing of the assigned department supplies.

 Essential Duties                                                       

  • Check stock levels for needed supplies and requisition order forms.
  • Order supplies from designated vendor.
  • Receive orders, verifying accuracy of invoice order, contents, and pricing.
  • Tracking of supplies, by labeling and properly placing on shelves.
  • Distribution of supplies to the required areas.
  • Billing & allocating supply charges to resident and/or department.
  • Data entry as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications & Experience                        

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, medical terminology, and medical and other supplies.
  • Basic math skills and computer word-processing, database experience.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

 

 Working Conditions / Physical Requirements     

  • Moderate physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
  • Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
