Job Description

The Network Administrator provides data network maintenance and support for more than 1,000 daily users and devices. This includes all networking systems including WAN/LAN/wireless infrastructure, phone systems, projectors, printers, and IOT and media streaming devices. The Network Administrator is also responsible for the proper implementation of IP routing, VLAN provisioning and DNS/DHCP configuration. 

The Network Administrator should have strong technical knowledge and experience in routers, firewalls, VPN’s, IP addressing, switches and other network devices, protocols, diagnostic tools and existing network architectures. 

The Network Administrator should possess project/change management skills to effectively plan/execute network installations & upgrades to minimize end-user disruption. 

The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining network security and confirming that security procedures are implemented and enforced. This includes ensuring that the school maintains CIPA and PCI compliance. 

The Network Administrator might also be required to assist end users with software and hardware troubleshooting if the need arises. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.

ShoreTel/Mitel Phone Systems
