Job Description
Transform technician inspections into quality digital vehicle inspections.
Prepare estimates for guests including pricing for parts and labor.
Use knowledge of automotive systems to ensure guests have accurate estimates.
This position requires applicants to be very familiar with computer assisted parts ordering and labor guides.
Qualifications
Must have 3-5 years in a job that required you to prepare automotive repair and maintenance estimates.
The Estimator position requires a well rounded understanding of the automotive industry as a whole. Because the estimator is involved with both ends of the vehicle repair, from writeup to repair to delivery, they must be able to interact with individuals and situations at any point in the repair process and know how to handle it. An estimator must be able to interact with guests, office staff and technicians and recognize the responsibilities of each individual. Additionally an Estimator must have great communication skills. The estimator will work alongside every individual at the shop and needs to be able to clearly dictate what needs to be done for problem solving, workflow, encouragement and action planning.
Physical Requirements:
- Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
- Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
