Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are looking for technicians / mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate  concerns 
• Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 5 years in high-level diagnostic work
• ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve Master L1, A Tech preferred
• Proficiency with electrical diagnostics and ability to read schematics
• Ability to produce 50-60 hours per week
• A desire for long-term career development
• Must be able to work on and diagnose all makes and models
• Must have own toolbox and tools
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Low comeback rate
• Ability to be a team player and help all technicians grow and learn
• Coachability from peers and supervisors
• Positive can-do attitude
• High level of proficiency with technology
• Familiarity with various manufacturer software and scan tools
• High attention to detail
• Ability to clearly communicate the steps of work done on vehicles through electronic means
• A positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Must be able to stand for most of the shift
• Must be able to crouch, squat, and kneel for short periods of time
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Efficiently navigate a computer
