Job Description

The Franchise Development Manager (FDM) is responsible for recruiting and qualifying the very best franchise candidates for the Christian Brothers family. The FDM will do this by interviewing and converting a sufficient percentage of franchise leads generated through departmental lead generation strategy and efforts, ultimately assisting the overall franchise development team to meet its goals. In addition to recruiting the right franchise candidates for CBAC, the FDM will also be assigned the role of recruiting General Managers (“Operators”) for specific CBAC locations. This will happen irregularly, but part of the overall job responsibility of the FDM. There will be administrative functions in this role including: reporting activity, scheduling meetings, ensuring legal documents are sent out in a timely manner, making reminder phone calls and/or emails to candidates, etc. The FDM will also be expected to learn and know the company’s Franchise Disclosure Document (“FDD”) and be able to generally find and answer a candidate’s questions with ease. This list is not necessarily exhaustive, but these tasks should not exceed approximately 10% of this role’s overall time allocation.
 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and have at least 3 years in a related sales or business development role. The candidate must have only the highest integrity in all their interactions and be coachable, driven, focused, self-confident, a self-starter and must strive for excellence. The ideal candidate must also be kind, affable, and intentional about meeting team goals, candidates’ goals, as well as their personal and professional goals.

Key Result Areas:
1. The Franchise Development Manager responds to all franchise lead appointments assigned by the Franchise Development Appointment setter and/or team. Then the FDM will ensure that the franchise candidate meets all initial franchise criteria set by the team including, but not limited to, the geographic location, skills, time commitment and financial resources.
2. The FDM will then be responsible for guiding the franchise candidate, and all candidates they are working, through the team’s discovery process ultimately bringing a qualified percentage of candidates through to Discovery Day, which is held monthly at our corporate office in Houston, TX.
3. The Franchise Development Manager proactively identifies and pursues new leads through previous database inquiries and other marketing strategies.
4. The Franchise Development Manager provides general administrative support to the department and assists the department in planning and coordinating events. The FDM is also responsible for hosting his/her franchise candidates during the candidate’s Discovery Day.

Education and Experience:
1. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a recruitment role, inside
business development or direct customer service role.
2. Franchise experience preferred.
3. BS/BA in Business preferred, but not required.
4. Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite applications, etc.

Accountabilities:
This individual will be accountable to the individuals responsible for protecting the Christian Brothers Automotive brand including Franchisees, Home Office team, and the Leadership team. The Franchise Development Manager will report directly to the Director of Franchise Development.

Workplace environment:
This role will be located at the Home Office headquarters in Houston, TX.
Travel will be irregular but may include company meetings and industry conventions/workshops off property from time to time.
