The management and the expansion of the production location in Kunshan (China)

Takes care of the complete management of and is responsible for (optimization of) the production location in Kunshan (China).

Tasks, responsibilities and competences

• Organises, monitors and coordinates the execution of the different orders from the moment of contract transfer by the sales department until handover to the client.
• Is responsible for further expansion of the production facility in Kunshan (China)
• Is responsible for making and execution of the production plan.
• Communicates and monitors internally, by mutual agreement with the department managers, the progress of production, purchase, logistics, production development and engineering.
• Communicates internally with commercial and financial disciplines.
• Is responsible for the financial activities of the facility Kunshan.
• Monitors the costs of production (budget).
• Is responsible for timely and correct invoicing.
• Is responsible for the purchase of labour and material.
• Coordinates the handling of complaints and warranties within the warranty period.
• Is responsible for the setup and settlement of order related additional- and less work.
• Takes an active role in department meetings.
• Participates in the management team meetings when in the Netherlands.
• Takes care of a personnel planning for own employees as well as hired labour.
• Communicates with clients with respect to the progress of the production.
• Communicates with the local dealers or other local parties with respect to the work that must be carried out.

• Minimal Bachelor degree and multiple years of working experience.
• Has a broad experience in managing a production company.
• Is a skilled communicator.
• Fluent in the English language in both speech and writing.
• (Limited) knowledge of the Chinese language in both speech and writing.
• Originally comes (born, raised and educated) from a Western European country and understands the Dutch culture/Western European mentality.
• Is prepared to settle in Kunshan (China).
• Has multiple years of management experience working abroad, preferably in China.
• Experience with local sourcing.
• Experience dealing with local Government officials and customers.

• Has a sense of responsibility for the product and the labour.
• Works structured, is keeping overview and has a good communication skills.
• Is capable of working independently but is also a team player; cooperates with several different disciplines like Engineering, Project Management, Workshop manager and Senior Management in the Netherlands.
• Has a practical and pragmatic attitude.
• No 9 to 5 mentality.
• Has a positive attitude towards changes in company policy.
