Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is an integral part of the Great White Fleet team based in Etoy. The incumbent has direct responsibility for the financial and management reporting for the company’s shipping and equipment businesses and will be the main point of contact for all shipping/equipment components related costs. The scope of responsibility includes:

 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (monthly actuals analysis, monthly reporting, yearly budget)
  • Operations (shipping rates management, bunker analysis, third party shipment monitoring)
  • Accounting (transfer price, shipping inventory module)
  • Ad hoc projects


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Analytical preparation and review of management reporting (actuals, forecasts and plan) relating to all aspects of the shipping and equipment businesses
  • Development and implementation of analytical and reporting tools to support the business and provide management information to local and senior management through monthly standardized reports & various ad-hoc analyses
  • Support to internal customers (essentially accounting and operations) by partnering, coaching, sharing business perspective and streamlining management reporting processes

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar) required in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree (or similar) in Finance/Accounting
  • A minimum of three years in an accounting and/or business analysis and/or support related position- preferably in financial planning and analysis
  • Broad interest in both accounting and financial matters
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
