Job Description

SUMMARY

The candidate must be able to execute the principles of accounting (IFRS, US GAAP) in order to produce and analyze complete and accurate financial information by compiling information and processing different accounting transactions and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. The role includes responsibilities around the information technology (IT) processes of the team (i.e. parametrization, testing) in the context of a new ERP implementation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the accounting records in a timely manner with accuracy and integrity of the balances
  2. Compile and analyze financial information such as financial statements in IFRS, US GAAP and local GAAPs
  3. Coordinate the external audit processes
  4. Record transactions in the general ledger and prepare accounts reconciliations
  5. Participation in IT system and process implementation
  6. Supporting the GL ERP super user role (GL setup, access control, master data management)
  7. Cooperate with other team members in day-to-day processes (GL/AR/AP area)
  8. Contribute ideas and recommendations which leads to process improvements
  9. Drive process standardization and best practice across EU regions. Provide support to end users (investigate and resolve problems, build-up user documentation and procedures)
  10. Prepare ad-hoc reports on request

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's degree (or similar) in Finance/Accounting and at least seven (7) years of accounting or financial audit experience
  2. Ability to produce and analyze financial data in a changing environment.
  3. Problem-solving attitude and ability to face new situations and propose solutions.
  4. Proficiency with information systems for accounting processes.
  5. Strong competency in Microsoft Excel
  6. High level of accuracy with the right attention to detail, ability to keep deadlines and set priorities
  7. Experience in working for a multinational company and within a team
  8. Good communication skills in interacting with all levels of an organization
  9. Self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency and demonstrates high learning agility
  10. Ability to work independently within a team environment and focus on results
  11. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule

English written and spoken required; other European language(s) are a plus
