Job Description

  • Position

The DC Manager is responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of the operations in the DC. He/she is in charge of the employees and hiring process. The DC Manager works according to his budget and is responsible to minimize the operational costs to the best knowledge and guarantees to perform optimally and efficiently.
The DC Manager represents the DC according to the Company Policy and Guidelines. He/she is responsible for the financial flow within his DC and uses the best suppliers for keeping a high standard, including all safety and hygiene processes.
The DC Manager is responsible for observing all necessary legal conditions in and around his DC.

 

  • Place in the organization

The DC Manager reports to and works closely with the Manager of Ripening & Transportation EME.

  • Main Tasks

Determine daily work process together with the Lead-Ripener.
Determine inventory/goods to ripen/supply based on forecasts and demand planned by the Sales Team.
Determine inventory/goods to ripen/supply based on forecasts and demand with Supply Chain.
Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, ripening or distribution of goods.
Direct and coordinate the DC’s financial and budget activities, maximize investments and increase efficiency.
Manage staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
Review financial statements/budgets and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvements.
Presents regularly financial and operational reports to the Manager of Ripening & Transportation EME.

  • Qualifications

High School and/or Pre-University education. Financial and/or Technical background is a pre.
