Job Description

Position Overview: A flexible manager role that is well versed in multiple digital disciplines that can take projects across both Customer and Consumer side of digital marketing immediately. Although this position will need to be versed in a variety of digital disciplines, their primary responsibilities will be in leading/executing media operations across the entire Global organization. This role will report directly to the Head of Digital Strategy, and will be tasked/responsible for taking over all strategy, planning, execution, measurement, and optimization for key media projects within the entire Global Media Operation for Chiquita Brands internationally.

The role is directly responsible for envisioning digital/media solutions, putting together action plans, executing said action plans across a spectrum of internal and external parties (overseeing/coordinating/working through these parties as owner of these actions plans), managing all legal/payment/authorization elements of action plans, and coordinating/leading reporting and analysis of digital/media operations.

This role will need to be not only well versed in operational basics of digital core competencies listed below but will need to demonstrate a strong sense of project management, organizational skills, cross-functional team leadership, and strong project ownership.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Strong project management and organizational skills to oversee and have complete ownership from vision to execution to reporting for all open assigned projects

·         Natural problem solver with a strong desire to find solutions to project needs

·         Craft the next level of integrated media and marketing strategies and create a plan and vision that can lead to significant impact, innovation and industry acclaim for the brand and business.

·         Lead communications planning and media buying strategy across all paid channels including television, radio, print, out-of-home, digital, social, shopper, and mobile media
Leverage insights, learnings, and modeling to help determine the right channel mix

·         Leverage data tactics across channels to further bolster the data-informed portions of our plans with personalized messaging served during the right mindset.

·         Manage media agency partner teams to ensure that strategies and plans deliver against business objectives and create impact in the marketplace

·         Strong understanding of basic trade marketing/shopper marketing/retail customer strategies and operations to ensure strong execution of all projects and operations

·         Manage Global media brand and business budgets, including all operational, fiscal, and investment ROI and evaluation responsibilities

·         Collaborate with creative, experience, partner, social, performance, insights, data, trade, and analytics teams

·         Coordinate/partner with internal and external stakeholders to author and present best practices, and strategic planning guidelines

·         Help create a pipeline of new ideas and methods of marketing including “test and learn” plans and analyze relative ROI possibilities

·         Create an environment of collaboration, teamwork, learning and sharing that can help drive associate

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

 ·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media advertising, or a related field

·         Media and Communications executive with 5+ years of deep functional leadership                  experience in relevant media areas and integrated marketing communications.

·         Agency side Media Ops are a plus

·         Experience in having demonstrated a propensity to challenge organizations to              accelerate investment in both new and traditional pioneering media properties and programs

·         Deep understanding of media technology platforms

·         Very strong understanding of media planning/execution/reporting process and can                  drive action, results, and on-time delivery of plans and campaigns

 

Additional Information

Job environment:

·         Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment

·         Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal

·         Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in              the course of normal workday

·         Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
