Job Description

Children’s Therapy Center is seeking an Early Education Program Assistant to join our growing team! Our Early Education Program Assistant will support our team serving children from birth to 18, in our Burien location. (S)he will assist with program operations by preparing materials, supporting in the maintenance of a clean, well-organized facility and assisting with group and classroom activities. Our preferred candidate has experience in early learning, child-care, and strong passion for helping children with special needs, and their families reach their full potential.

Primary Responsibilities

Foster parent-child relationship and utilize play-based learning opportunities to enhance children’s social emotional and intellectual development

Provide classroom, child-care and family support; assist teachers, and facilitate activities during playgroups, classes and other group activities
Plan, organize, and prepare classroom and therapy materials and activities
Take inventory of supplies and assist in shopping and/or ordering replacement supplies
Attend and participate in education curriculum planning meetings
Maintain classroom, facility and test kit cleanliness and organization
Administrative and office support including but not limited to managing and creating paperwork for Parent Packets, copying, scanning and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or experience working with families and young children in a multi-cultural setting preferred, or highly motivated to learn

Creative thinker who is organized and can anticipate and meet the needs of staff and families

Dedicated to quality, with a willingness to learn and share

Experience working with children with developmental delay or disability preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff and multi-disciplinary teams

Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain these certifications upon offer

Bilingual preferred (sought-after languages include Spanish, Somali, Amharic)

Anticipated Schedule:

This position is expected to be Full-time 40hour per week.
