Are you preparing for a career in journalism or communications and interested in reporting about issues of urbanism and city life? If so, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, a leading nonprofit promoting public interest in design is seeking a Communications Intern. This position will be part-time beginning in May 2013 and ending in August 2013.
Job Description
Assists with the collection of stories from clients, partners, donors, and volunteers, plus the creation of an original series of feature-length articles
Writes editorial content for website and blog
Researches photos to accompany stories
Drafts marketing materials, as needed
Qualifications
College student in journalism, communications, or a related field
Strong interviewing and writing skills
Experience in making website and social media updates for organizations or business-related concerns
Intermediate-level graphic design skills a plus
Sample of published materials should be submitted with application
