Job Description

Distribution Manager is responsible for the Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory Control functions at the Thorofare Distribution Center.  This is an essential role and accountable for the overall strategic distribution planning, productivity improvements, and cost-effective execution of the order fulfillment, shipping and receiving warehouse processes.  This position has a direct budget and supervisory responsibilities for both permanent and temporary staffing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine warehouse staff requirements including overtime, temporary staffing requirements, and PTO planning
  • Train, coach, and execute performance planning for salary and hourly employees.
  • Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all company ethics, health, and safety policies
  • Leads the inbound finished goods and raw material goods receipt/receiving processes.
  • Leads the outbound finished goods and raw material goods issued/shipping processes.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory control management processes.
  • Develop cost effective system and operational process improvements.
  • Compile and report critical KPI measurements.
  • Implement and support green sustainability initiatives
  • Distribution Center financial budget.
  • Ensure proper compliance and adherence to all company ethics, health, and safety policies.
  • Interface cross-functionally across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • APICS, OSHA certifications a plus

Experience

  • 5 years distribution experience in a high volume and fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • 3 years previous supervisory experience required.
  • Safety Management – OSHA certified preferred
  • SAP ERP and Warehouse Management System- WMS experience highly desired.
  • Implementing sustainability initiatives
