Job Description

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the purchasing and supply chain team focusing on logistics, purchasing, and vendor management. Their duties include supporting relationships with both suppliers and vendors to drive cost savings.

Job Duties

  • Support vendor search and analysis to reduce single source supply
  • Analyze high dollar indirect spend items to identify savings
  • Support RFP / RFQ process and identify cost saving opportunities
  • Assist in various supply chain projects to achieve cost reductions
  • Support Indirect Purchasing initiatives for various departments
  • Review vendor contracts
  • Document and maintain vendor and intercompany SOP’s and vendor scorecards.
  • Manage Purchasing Price Records (PIRs) in SAP
  • Support freight analytics (import and domestic shipping) to drive spend reduction
  • Pull data to support duty drawback filings
  • Other Supply Chain related duties

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience

Experience

  • RFP process experience including follow up with vendors
  • Experience in the areas of purchasing, supply chain or sourcing.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data types
  • Experience in Duty Drawback process a plus

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years purchasing or supply chain experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience handling communications including like vendor calls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially excel and SAP a plus
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and work in fast paced environment
