Job Description

We are in need of a temporary Apparel Labeling Solution Print Shop Associate to work with our team for about 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, for a period of about 3 weeks while we work to complete a project. This role requires a fast paced, self-motivated and adaptable individual, willing to meet the needs of a deadline driven print shop with several simultaneous work streams. This role will combine several of the daily tasks required for maintaining the flow of work in the ALS print shop. The role blends several skills together to ensure efficient operations and customer engagement are handled directly without the need for second hand translation or communication time delay.  The Associate will be working with printing equipment, various software, quality testing, communicating with outside vendors and communicating directly with our customers and major retailers.

Job Duties

  • Operate print shop equipment. This includes; JEI laser printer, SATO cutter stacker, various thermal printers, quality testing equipment such as barcode scanners and color testing.
  • Operate the shipping station. Using shipping software to process customer shipments via specified directions.
  • Manage outsource workflow. Using email and direct calls, maintain the on time delivery of jobs outsourced to other prints hops. Inspect and quality check incoming jobs and prep for either inventory or process for shipment.
  • Customer Service. Maintain the relationship with assigned customers, inform any issues promptly with solutions, instruct in any areas of question, research and resolve any claims or disputes directly, inform delivery dates and tracking information.
  • Use SAP to create sales orders, credits and manage inventory.
  • Use internal ERP software to track jobs and run reports

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred for Customer Service functions, but not required.

Experience

  • Working in a fast paced, due-date oriented print shop.
  • Working with printing and finishing equipment.
  • Using shipping software for various carriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx)
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Logistics experience a plus.
  • SAP experience a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Innovative and creative thinking to propose new solutions to challenging and complex issues.
  • Computer and printer knowledge, installing drivers, troubleshooting and testing connections.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to produce quality work with good organization skills.
  • Ability to work alone or on a team engaging with customers to devise solutions that produce superior value and performance.
  • Computer knowledge in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
