Job Description

As an Analyst II, it will be required to work on a 24h/7 shift pattern system so as to ensure a 24hr coverage where you will be responsible to monitor suspicious transaction activities and resolve fraudulent cases. This means working with a rota, where your schedule can change from to time.

You will be directly reporting to the Team Lead, and you will be acting as a point of escalation and a subject matter expert to everything related to card transaction monitoring. You will work collaboratively with members of cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering and Finance.

In this role, you will investigate customer activity across multiple platforms to identify any potential fraud risks so as to take immediate actions to mitigate any fraud risks.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Conducts ongoing transaction monitoring to identify potential risk and fraud activity.

  • Responsible to take vital action to mitigate fraud risk.

  • Perform transaction monitoring activity under limited supervision

  • Apply technical knowledge and skills to handle and resolve cases with limited guidance.

  • To respond to internal and external queries meticulously and under limited assistance.

  • Have the capacity to effectively develop self-management and seek opportunities to learn.

  • Attend ongoing training and remain abreast of current fraud trend.

  • Produce timely and accurate information for Senior Analyst or Team lead to assist in decision making processes, including escalating any investigative issues.

  • Provide insights and recommendations on improving quality or how to reach optimal efficiency in current processes.

  • Provide 24/7/365 transaction analysis on a 24/7 shift system, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

About you:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in fraud or risk or payment transaction processing and monitoring.

  • Strong collaborator, communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across organisations.

  • Readiness to work with busy schedules and tight deadlines.

  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.

  • Degree educated or equivalent.

  • Understanding of Payment processing industry and/or e-commerce environment is a plus.

  • Experience in Fraud Monitoring is a plus.

  • Easily communicate with peers to develop professional relationships.

  • Have the capacity to complete assigned training and tasks efficiently by leveraging risk monitoring specific tools.
