Job Description

The role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and crafting new qualified opportunities for the wider sales team. You'll be identifying key decision makers whilst adopting a creative outreach to qualify prospects and successfully position Checkout.com’s value proposition.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Consistently exceed targets on a monthly basis
  • Display a creative prospecting cadence for targeted accounts
  • Become the authority on all things Checkout.com
  • Understand our customers needs to demonstrate the Checkout.com value proposition
  • Keep your ear to the ground to ensure the latest developments in different industries
  • Learn and use various sales tools to network
  • Work very closely with our sales team to help streamline the sales process whilst improving your knowledge.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Hunter Mindset: A proactive and positive attitude with a talent for navigating pathways to reach key decision-makers.
  • Outbound Sales Experience: 2+ years in an outbound sales role, with a proven track record of successfully selling complex products or services to enterprise customers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the payments industry or with Chinese merchants going global is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent listening and communication skills, whether written, verbal, or in person, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels (including senior stakeholders)
  • Familiarity with Sales Tools: Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SimilarWeb, Lusha, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
  • Passion for Sales: A genuine enthusiasm for sales, coupled with resilience in the face of objections, turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: An eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving landscape, with a proactive approach to personal and professional growth.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: A desire to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced work environment.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English: Strong communication skills in both languages are essential for engaging with decision-makers in China.
