The role

Transaction Monitoring Coordinator At Checkout.com:

The Transaction Monitoring Coordinator will work on different topics linked to KYC, AML and other compliance issues. You'll be reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Crime Compliance Monitoring.

You'll act as a point of escalation and a subject matter expert when it comes to all things related to transaction monitoring. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners including but not limited to Legal, Product, Engineering, Risk, and Finance.

In this role, you'll investigate into customer activity across multiple platforms to identify any potential fraud and money-laundering risks, draft suspicious activity reports for your investigation in line with regulatory expectations, and file suspicious activity reports at scale.

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure transaction monitoring team is meeting our objectives and key results, including producing high quality investigations
  • Conducts ongoing transaction monitoring to identify potential risk and fraud activity
  • Responsible to take vital action to mitigate fraud risk
  • Connect with clients and merchants, by phone or emails, to request for information with regards to suspicions
  • Attend ongoing training and remains abreast of current fraud trend
  • Produce timely and accurate report for the manager or management team to assist in decision making processes, including raising any investigative issues
  • Scrutinize and identify suspicious transactions where appropriate
  • Review and analyze alerts in the transaction monitoring system against PEP and Sanctions Screening
  • Provide insights and recommendations on improving quality or how to reach optimal efficiency in current processes

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Process oriented, always aiming for simplicity and efficiency
  • Strong collaborator, communicator with the ability to influence team members across organizations
  • Readiness to work with busy schedules and tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Understanding of Payment processing industry and/or e-commerce environment is an advantage
  • Experience in Fraud Monitoring is a plus
  • Experience in Customer Service
  • Keen eye for details
  • Phenomenal teammate
