Job Description
Senior Analyst, Payments at Checkout.com:
Checkout.com's finance department is looking for a hands-on professional who can provide experienced support to the Operational Finance Manager, having a proven track record to work with minimal day to day supervision. A successful candidate will need to be an independent, diligent individual, able to stand out in an ambitious environment. They will play a key role in ensuring the success of daily US operations as well as resolving any payment inquiries that may arise.
This role is an excellent opportunity to further improve existing knowledge and skills around Operational Finance within a small Finance team with varied responsibilities.
Qualifications
What you’ll be doing:
- Daily treasury account management
- Process and manage Merchant payments across various regional banking platforms
- Monitor and reconcile transactions and payment volumes across all our systems daily
- Review and approve of outgoing Merchant and network payments
- Manage and troubleshoot payment queries using Checkout resources and problem solving skills
- Participation and collaboration on ongoing OKR related projects
- Assist the Product and Technical Teams on new Product testing and launches
- Assist the rest of the payments team as required
- Ad hoc reporting as required
- Expand payments process and onboarding documentation
About You:
- In-depth understanding of transactional processes coupled with the ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and deliver solutions to correct them
- Ability to handle several tasks with tight delivery schedules
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Process oriented and high level of attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience of working within the financial services industry
- High level of proficiency with MS Excel (Mandatory)
- Knowledge of SWIFT payments is highly desirable
- Process driven – You understand processes intuitively, are highly organized, and are constantly on the lookout to improve the way you work. You love tweaking things.
- Collaborative – You seek first to understand and then to be understood. You communicate your actions and intentions clearly - verbally as well as in a written form
- Proactive – You have a proactive demeanor towards problems. You pay attention to details and think about the implications of what you are doing.

However, final salaries may vary subject to several factors, such as a candidate’s level, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and proficiency for the role. Please note that this information is provided for those in New York City only, and this role is open to candidates outside of New York City as well.
For regular full-time employees in New York City, the estimated base salary range is from: 60,244.00 USD - 70,875.00 USD
