Job Description

The role

We're actively looking for a Senior Manager Product Compliance who will take the initiative to manage our Product Compliance team by providing subject matter expertise in industry best practices and the global regulatory landscape.

The role will need the application of knowledge of various payment rules and regulations (issuing, acquiring, money transmission, ACH, card networks, etc.), AML compliance and sanction laws to establish regulatory go to market strategies and influence expansion for new payments product launches.

This person will also project manage and facilitate the product launch process with multiple compliance operational teams and establish applicable compliance metrics for the Checkout.com products.

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Act as the main point of contact in Compliance for the development of new products
  • Support expansion for new payments product launches by scoping, defining and communicating product and compliance requirements
  • Determine compliance requirements for domestic and international markets
  • Advise the Payments Product team on Compliance operational process and regulatory requirements across various markets
  • Embed with Checkout product teams to advise on risk and control design and, where necessary, build and deploy those controls
  • Lead product governance efforts on behalf of Checkout’s Compliance organization, including documenting requirements and tracking them through implementation
  • Provide operational and compliance subject matter support to cross-functional teams as they design and implement workflows, tooling, and reporting
  • Liaise closely with Regional Compliance Officers to support execution of our regulatory compliance oversight programs
  • Remain up-to-date on regulatory landscape and changes, best practices and industry developments
  • Determine key data and operational requirements of new product initiatives, including partnering with compliance operations, risk management, legal and customer success teams
  • Build a tactical road-map and set goals that align with strategic product roadmap
  • Design and draft all relevant program documentation, content, and processes
  • Participate and manage in Group wide and local AML/CTF related projects

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of 7 years working experience in compliance with a preferred focus on the areas of payments AML/CTF, internal audit or risk management within financial services industries
  • Robust and detailed knowledge with strong analytical skills to implement and deliver product launch solutions
  • Excellent organisational and partner management skills
  • Readiness to expand technical knowledge in a broad range of projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentation of analysis and recommendations
  • Reliable when working independently, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and a flexible approach to work
  • ACAMS certified would be considered and advantage
