Job Description

The role

Reporting into the VP of Risk, Compliance and Audit, the Global Head of Compliance will manage a global Compliance team of circa 30 colleagues and continue to develop and enhance our compliance framework.

 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Design, develop, communicate, deliver and maintain best in class Compliance programs, policies and practices by implementing applicable controls, procedures and training
  • Conduct targeted risk assessments, risk-based testing and monitoring, establishing Compliance training requirements and reporting
  • Drive internal and external audits, independent reviews, and other reviews as required
  • Investigate and, where required, escalate any major compliance flags to Management and suggest recommendations for remediation enhancing existing processes accordingly
  • Develop compliance reporting per regulatory and governance requirement
  • Overseeing annual quality assurance review and internal audits, coordinate responses to third-party AML and sanctions audits and regulatory queries, and leading remediation efforts of any resulting findings and/or corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Preparing reports to the senior management and the Board to communicate all relevant compliance issues and bring forward any important or high-risk compliance issues

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 15 years of compliance experience in oversight/management of a financial services business, banking institution or as a regulator;
  • Certified ACAMS or equivalent
  • Previous FinTech, Financial, Payments and industry experience
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing and developing strong performing teams
  • Strong experience with a variety of global regulators
  • Advanced knowledge of FCA/SAS frameworks and guidelines
  • Knowledge of international payments laws a plus
  • Excellent Anti-Money Laundering, KYC/KYB/CDD regulations
  • Experience of conducting compliance assurance/audit reviews
  • Solution driven approach, with exemplary problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendation
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and a flexible approach to work
  • Strong collaborator, communicator with the ability to influence partners across organisations
