Description

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate has a passion for Linux infrastructure, automation, and AI-driven operations. This role combines strong operational expertise with a modern DevOps mindset, leveraging automation and AI technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the enterprise.

In this position, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of Linux-based services and virtual machines, ensuring the stability, security, compliance, and performance of production environments while continuously driving automation and operational improvement initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Linux virtual machines, including provisioning, configuration, hardening, patching, monitoring, compliance, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Development teams to improve platform reliability, security, and operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux and infrastructure-related issues across production environments.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve the reliability and repeatability of operational processes.
  • Drive AI adoption initiatives within IT Operations by identifying opportunities to improve troubleshooting, knowledge management, incident response, and operational workflows using AI-powered tools and solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system performance, availability, security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Desired Background

  • 8+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux operating systems in enterprise or production environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology domains.
  • Experience managing the complete lifecycle of Linux virtual machines, including provisioning, hardening, patching, compliance, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Experience designing or implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions.
  • Experience using AI tools or AI-powered solutions to improve operational efficiency, troubleshooting, knowledge management, or incident management.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, PKI, SSL/TLS certificates, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
