Company Description

We are looking for a talented Low-Level Software Developer to join our Cloud Firewall team.

Our team ensures Check Point Firewall solutions operate efficiently and reliably in cloud environments.
This includes developing cloud-specific features, optimizing performance, creating and maintaining cloud images, and solving complex technical challenges.

The role focuses on deep technical work involving C code, networking, operating systems, and system internals.
We are looking for engineers with hands-on experience in these areas, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze and solve complex low-level technical problems.

Job Description

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and release.
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud firewall features, image creation components, and cloud-specific integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues involving networking, operating systems, cloud infrastructure, and system internals.
  • Analyze software behavior, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and optimize system efficiency across cloud environments.
  • Work with and debug low-level components, including C code, network drivers, virtualization technologies, and cloud networking integrations.
  • Actively use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, research, prototyping, and engineering workflows, while ensuring secure and responsible usage.
  • Ensure software designs and implementations comply with product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Research new technologies, cloud capabilities, and architectural approaches, and present recommendations for review.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, architects, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (must)
  • 1+ years of software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C programming
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including the TCP/IP stack, OSI model, routing, and packet processing
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues across multiple system layers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Advantages

  • Knowledge of Linux internals, including the kernel networking stack, device drivers, and core operating system subsystems
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure platforms
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily engineering work
  • Experience working on networking, security, or performance-sensitive systems
  • Background in cyber security or network security
