Job Description

Château de Pommard is a dynamic and rapidly growing 300-year-old winery dedicated to cultivating a harmonious future for us all. Our team is passionate about quality, innovation, and delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. We're looking for a talented Site Operations Manager to join our team.

Do you have what it takes to orchestrate the symphony of operations that fuels our success? As our Site Operations Maestro, you'll lead the charge in harmonizing our site operations for maximum efficiency and performance. Reporting to the Director of Wine Tourism, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, implement best practices, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day site operations, including facility maintenance, and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational processes and streamline workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of operational activities.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of services and materials at competitive prices.
  • Define and monitor the annual budget, and keep an eye on all costs associated with operations.
  • Lead a team of site operations staff, providing guidance and support to drive performance and professional development.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety, establishing protocols and procedures that ensure a harmonious working environment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in site operations management and implement innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of successful experience in site operations management, leading a technical team
  • Project management, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Friendly spirit with a positive attitude and a team player.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
