Based in the historic and picturesque city of Québec on Canada’s Eastern Coast, Chantier Davie is the largest shipbuilder in the country. In support of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy, Davie anticipates constructing nine highly advanced and technically complex vessels – ferries and icebreakers – in addition to providing through-life support services for the existing Navy and Coast guard fleets. With an anticipated Can$9 billion order book and plan for significant investment in the development and improvement of construction facilities, this is a highly exciting time for the business.

At the heart of Davie’s matrix structure, as SVP of Programs, you will have wide-ranging responsibility for the planning and delivery of every project in the yard. Touching all functions of the business, you will run the Program, Project and Estimating teams and through a small group of highly capable Program and Project managers, resource, lead, monitor and efficiently deliver Davie’s undertakings.

You will have proven experience in leading and fully delivering program activity in yards – new builds, refits, dry docking, shop operations and life extension projects in shipbuilding, or possibly in offshore oil, gas or energy.

Academically and professionally qualified, ideally in a marine engineering discipline, you’ll be a visible leader, a consummate diplomat, a continuous improver, a deeply commercial thinker, committed to safety and quality, and someone who makes things happen. You will be credible with customers and in the Boardroom, yet equally comfortable out and about in the yard.
