Channel37 is seeking a skilled level designer to join its team. In this role, you'll design and create levels and environments for our new exciting IP. As a member of our small but dedicated team, you will be able to help shape the game's direction and contribute to its unique features. Job Description

  • Design and create levels that are both fun and engaging for players.

  • Design and create immersive, visually appealing environments using Unreal Engine 5.

  • Contribute to game design and development, providing creative ideas and solutions to challenges.

  • Optimize levels for performance, maintaining a consistent frame rate and minimizing technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of world-building principles, including architecture, environmental design, and storytelling.

  • Ability to create detailed environments and level layouts that support gameplay and reinforce the game's narrative.

  • Knowledge of level design tools and techniques for creating compelling environments, including lighting, composition, and level flow.

  • Experienced with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.

  • Understanding of the PC and console game development process.

  • Demonstrate previous experience and skills with an online portfolio.

  • Ability to work well with a team, but also organized and independent.

Additional Information

We appreciate

  • Knowledge of industry-standard 3d software, such as 3ds Max, ZBrush, Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, and Maya.

  • Experience creating and implementing game world assets like buildings, vehicles, and props.

  • Programming/scripting experience in C/C++, C#, Python, or other languages.

Model of work

  • We prefer you to work on-site but also offer the option of working remotely.

  • Our working hours are flexible and can be adjusted to your schedule.

  • Six (6) weeks of paid vacation in a year.
