Job Description

As a Analytics Engineer at ChangeEngine, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the data experiences for our customers. You will be the first focused data hire to join our team. This means that you will have the opportunity to own the entire data stack with support from senior engineers on our team.
This position requires demonstrable experience as an analytics engineer/data analyst/data engineer, a strong background in B2B SaaS environments, and familiarity with the challenges of early-stage and scale-up companies. You will play a key role in selecting and implementing the right tools and technologies to ensure our data ecosystem is scalable, reliable, and efficient. And ultimately provides the customers with valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver well-defined, transformed, tested, documented, and code-reviewed data sets ready for analysis

  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code

  • Build innovative analytics products for our customers

  • Train the team on how to use and create analytics products

  • Collaborate with the wider engineering and product team to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity

  • Collaborate with the wider company to understand customer data analytics needs

Qualifications

  • You have demonstrable and relevant experience within analytics engineering, data analysis and/or data engineering, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services

  • Experience with building successful data products and experiences for customers

  • Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL

  • Experience in early-stage and scale-up environments is highly desirable

  • Strong proficiency in SQL

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala
