Job Description

As the QA Engineer at ChangeEngine, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the quality of our product. This role is crucial in enhancing our entire testing process to significantly reduce the number of errors, thereby increasing our team's overall velocity as we grow. You'll collaborate with our engineering team to identify issues, develop test plans, and implement automated tests, ensuring our platform remains robust, reliable, and user-friendly. Additionally, you'll encourage and support our engineers in adopting testing best practices, fostering a culture of quality and excellence within our development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our SaaS platform.

  • Identify, document, and track bugs, working closely with developers to resolve issues.

  • Extend automated testing to improve test coverage and efficiency.

  • Conduct regression testing to ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues.

  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer in an early stage or fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g. Playwright/Cypress, Testing Library, Jest/Vitest)

  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
