Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to support the successful execution of assigned projects. You will play a key part in coordinating documentation, maintaining project controls, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Organize, track, and manage project documentation, including meeting minutes, Change Orders/Site Instructions, Owner’s Instructions, Shop Drawings, Drawing Logs, draft Progress Claims, field notices, and sustainability requirements (LEED, Waste Management, Erosion and Sediment Control, Materials Testing).

  • Set up and maintain project reporting systems such as cost reports, project status reports, drawing/document control, and shop drawing logs.

  • Maintain accurate logs (RFI, Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchase, Owner, etc.), track responses, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

  • Assist with trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and document control processes.

  • Manage project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labor/equipment coding, purchase orders, and safety reporting.

  • Review construction plans to verify compliance with plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural codes and regulations.

  • Lead the full project life cycle—from pre-construction planning through commissioning and turnover

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
  • A solid understanding of all construction trades, safety and construction techniques.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
