Job Description

This position is based in the reception area of Chandos Edmonton office. This three month contract role involves a combination of receptionist and accounting duties.

  • directing incoming calls and visitors.
  • categorize, file and retrieve documents using specific classification and organization systems
  • responsible for the orderly recording and keeping of physical and electronic documents, including distributing new documents and discarding obsolete records.
  • required to keep records and logs of document retrievals, updates, distributions and removals.
  • administrative responsibilities, such as scheduling meetings, arranging couriers photocopying, faxing, taking notations or assisting in preparing presentations
  • assisting accounting department as necessary

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary student
  • strong organizational and time management skills for a high volume, deadline driven environment.
  • have critical attention to detail and accuracy and work well independently/in a team environment
  • ability to recognize a wide variety of documents and manage fluctuating volumes of work and to set short term priorities.
  • demonstrate excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • ability to maintain confidential information
  • demonstrated PC skills
  • experience operating office equipment and ability to trouble shoot minor hardware and software issues
