Job Description
- Develop and execute brand development strategies specifically for the gadget category, based on market trends and business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with national and regional gadget brands to secure long-term collaboration and revenue growth.
- Lead negotiations with gadget brands and retailers to secure co-marketing funds, subsidies, and promotional support.
- Oversee the performance of assistant managers and their teams, ensuring effective execution of acquisition, onboarding, and retention activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Legal, Risk, Tech) to deliver smooth campaign launches and operational excellence.
- Monitor market competition and identify new opportunities for expansion within the gadget ecosystem.
- Track and analyze business performance, ensuring acquisition and revenue targets for the gadget category are consistently met.
- Report on key achievements, challenges, and improvement areas to senior leadership.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to build a capable, performance-driven BD team in the gadget segment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Marketing, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Account Management, preferably in financial, gadget, electronics, or e-commerce industries.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role, leading teams and overseeing category growth.
- Proven track record in merchant acquisition, partnership development, and delivering revenue targets, particularly in the gadget/electronics sector.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and merchant performance, with the ability to translate insights into category growth initiatives.
- Experience in securing co-marketing funds, subsidies, and promotional support through negotiations with gadget brands and retailers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams, multiple campaigns, and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and presentation software for reporting and decision-making.
- Established network within gadget/electronics brands, distributors, and retail partners.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) to manage communication with regional or international partners.
