Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will engage with multiple Central 1 external clients on programs, projects, or initiatives from launch to completion, as part of a team led by a Principal Consultant or as the lead on a project. You will be responsible for coordinating with other Consultants and Implementation Analysts in implementing software features and products for online banking and payment platforms.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting and assisting the Principal Consultant with strategic planning and tactical deployments of features and products for key clients.
  • Leading and coordinating the activities of Business Analysts or Implementation Analysts on projects where size and complexity require additional efforts.
  • Responsible for a program of work, aligned either by type or by the client.
  • Consulting with clients on their desired implementation needs, working on the project from start to finish. 
  • Writing Statements of Work (SOWs), change requests, requirements analysis, and impact analysis, on projects usually of medium-size and/or medium-level complexity.
  • Conducting discovery sessions with a client to develop the solution or approach to implementing
  • Generating necessary requirements documents and change orders for engineering teams to execute.
  • Working with the engineering teams as they develop their code/configurations, answering questions, and confirming requirements. 
  • Performs functional, cursory, and regression testing.
  • Coordinating the code deployments to QA environments and assists the client with UAT testing. 
  • Coordinating and interfacing with client activities throughout the project lifecycle, updating budgets and other necessary client-facing collateral, and ensuring adequate support and direction is given during UAT and production deployment.
  • Creating launch plans and coordinates launch activities. 
  • Updating internal tracking systems and ensures the project moves across the phases of the lifecycle.
  • Updating and creates product implementation guides.
  • Ensuring project timesheets from multiple teams are accurate and reflect the overall effort.
  • Reviewing timesheets and expenses for each project and submits for monthly billing.   
  • Providing post-implementation support and closes the project with the necessary documentation.
  • Sharing knowledge and specific product implementation strategy with other members of the team as requested. 
  • Mentors junior resources 
  • Collaborates with the Client Development team to manage client relationships.

    Qualifications

    What you'll have:

    • A university degree in computer science, business, or other related disciplines with an IT focus.
    • 7+ years relevant experience and 5+ years consulting and/or project management experience.
    • Financial Services background is preferred, especially in digital, online banking platforms technology services. 
    • Business analysis and Project Management work experience required
    • Able to build and maintain strong client relationships
    • Able to define the implementation approach for various products of significant scope, complexity, and revenue potential
    • Able to prioritize and set clear direction and expectations.    
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and time management skills. 
    • Communicates effectively and strategically orally and in writing, with clients, technical teams, and other co-workers, 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects while motivating and managing a team 

    Nice to have:

    • CBAP or PMP designation is an asset.
