Job Description

As a Technical Product Director, Data Analytics you will be at the forefront of delivering data driven products and services for our clients. The Technical Product Director will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for development, launch and scaling of data products to help grow our client’s businesses. You must be a self-starter, be curious and be ready to innovate and drive activity that helps deliver the next generation data solutions.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Support the development of the data product strategy and roadmap, go to market plans, and other product documentation
  • Be able to flex and collaborate across cross-functional teams, suppliers, partners and stakeholders - across multiple disciplines including product, data science, data lake, innovation, development, operations, finance, legal/regulation e.g. GDPR and marketing
  • Establish pricing, sales collateral & promotional models to support data products and propositions
  • Understand market trends, client needs, competitive landscapes, and overarching privacy and regulatory environments
  • Commercial focus to help drive focus areas and quick wins/high commercial potential
  • Driving propositions that help Central 1 deepen it’s data footprint and for its clients
  • Driving a solution set across data engineering and analytics teams

Qualifications

What you'll have:

  • University degree or equivalent experience 
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies and analytics techniques such as machine learning/AI or other novel data analysis methods, statistical/predictive models, Hadoop systems and distributions, data ingestion / consumption pipelines, large scale data analysis and visualizations
  • Good grasp of classical statistical methods, such as regression models, inference testing and sampling
  • Understanding of software engineering experience in languages such as Python, R, Scala, Matlab
  • Knowledge of Big Data packages, Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Hive or others
  • Substantial Product Management experience, including managing data science teams / analysts / data engineers / data security engineers / platform architects
  • Solid experience with Metadata, data cleansing, data entitlements, and data privacy
  • Strong contributor and experience with FI data sets and use cases
  • Proven ability to take initiative, collaborate and build strong, productive relationships
  • Ability to influence stakeholders within the organization and outside.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies to drive product development and delivery an advantage.
  • Ideally, you will have prior product management experience with P&L accountability
