Job Description

The Technical Recruiting Specialist is responsible for developing the recruiting strategy and tactics for Digital and Payments specifically and more generally for Central 1.  This includes developing or augmenting process and providing consulting support in the following areas: identifying and attracting top talent, supporting the manager and candidate experience relating in the internal process from application and offer process, supporting the orientation of new hires, performing exit interviews, etc. Acts as a subject matter expert to hiring managers regarding recruiting policies and process including inquiries related to company policies and procedures surrounding recruitment. The Technical Recruiter Specialist also defines Central 1s recruitment and onboarding strategy and offer to showcase Central 1 as an employer of choice.

Define Central 1s recruitment and onboarding strategy and offer:

  • Scales Central 1s recruiting and onboarding framework to showcase Central 1 as an employer of choice
  • Makes recommendations for changes to policies, processes and standards governing the recruiting area.
  • Undertakes initiatives to enhance the full recruiting life cycle
  • Organizes, develops, and facilitates training related to recruiting process and practices for HR and people leaders
  • Develop and implement an employment brand strategy
  • Enhance Central 1s onboarding approach both corporately and for Digital and Payment Services

Manage the end to end recruitment process:

  •  Sources, acquires and retains talent appropriate for current vacancies
  • Conducts initial needs assessment with hiring manager to understand the technical skills and desired fit as required.
  • Scheduling telephone interviews for initial screening of qualified applicant and coordinates face to face interviews between shortlisted candidates and hiring managers
  • Provides feedback on telephone interviews to hiring managers and recommends those to be shortlisted.
  • Manages hiring requirements by partnering with external services/external recruitment firms if required
  • Completes references
  • Establishes the offers and terms of employment and processes appropriate paperwork
  • Manages other aspects of the recruiting function as applicable

Manage Central 1’s ATS (Applicant Tracking System):

  • Internal subject matter expert on Central 1s ATS
  • Key contact with ATS vendor on all applicable matters including first point of contact for contract negotiation/renewal
  • Train HR peers and leaders to utilize the system
  • Leverage metrics and analytics to recommend and implement improvements to recruiting process and procedures

Qualifications

  • University degree and 6 – 9 years (minimum) relevant experience including 2-4 years with a focus in IT/Technical recruitment
  • Ability to influence peers and colleagues of all levels
  • Analysis and problem solving of complex issues relating to the recruiting mandate
  • Ability to foster a sense of urgency and dedication to delivering on commitments, specifically for hiring manager (to whom the incumbent does not have a direct management relationship)
  • Ability to think analytically and develop effective solutions to problems. Highly developed analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in Business Administration
  • Strong relationship management and well developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines in a team environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to prioritize and multi-task are essential, proven attention to detail, and the ability to fulfil responsibilities with remote supervision.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in a Microsoft environment and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) programs are required.
