Job Description
The Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. As well, the Physical Therapist Assistant must document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy methods. The PTA works under the supervision of the PT, collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLPs, and teachers.
Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school
- Current Virginia license as a Physical Therapist Assistant or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in pediatric physical therapy (preferred, not required)
