Job Description

Cellular Dynamics International, a FujiFilm Company, is recruiting for a Account Manager – Northeast, NYC. This high-performance individual will manage current business and identify new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as identify, pursue, and close new opportunities within the territory. Responsibilities include direct sales of the company's products and services, including iPSC-derived cells and stem cell based technologies within a geographic territory of pharmaceutical, biopharma, and academic accounts. Must be able to communicate technical information on stem cell technologies to a sophisticated audience, and identify and propose solutions to the research community regarding the implementation of these technologies in support of drug discovery, screening, safety and toxicology. The territory includes CT, NJ, NY, as well as key accounts in New England. The candidate must live within the territory.



Qualifications

Essential Job Responsibilities:
1.    Manage current business and identify new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as identify, pursue and close new opportunities within his/her territory.
2.    Perform direct sales of the company's products and/or services, including iPSC derived cells and stem cell based technologies within a geographic territory of pharmaceutical and biopharma and academic accounts.
3.    Develop and maintain strategic account plans, and provide accurate forecasts and reports of sales activity.
4.    Must be able to communicate technical information on stem cell technologies to a sophisticated audience, and identify and propose solutions to the research community.

Essential Job Requirements:
•    A BS/BA degree in biological science or related field.
•    A minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in life science.
•    A minimum 2 years experience in a management or leadership position.
•    Excellent sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, listening, and closing.
•    Strong technical background in pharmaceutical process and drug development
•    Knowledge of key accounts and key decision makers and experience selling into large pharma and biotech.
•    Experience selling into multiple levels within an organization (bench scientists, purchasing, directors, VP, CFO/CEO.
•    This position requires 40-50% overnight travel.
