Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you a multi-tasker? If so, a client of ours operating in the FMCG industry is seeking to recruit a Shipping Executive to manage their logistics function.

What is expected of you?

• Set up clear guidelines and SOPs covering the execution of the logistics function in the company
• Coordinate and consolidate shipments with foreign suppliers, local freight forwarders and the purchasing department
• Prepare consignment costings
• Manage all shipping documentation
• Establish and maintain product information using IT systems within the organisation
• Data capture of customs documentation, NSO declarations and other documents as required
• Negotiate prices for best rates and services
• Prepare and analyse data/reports to improve efficiency and promote cost-saving methods

What are you expected to bring?

• A minimum of an 'A' level standard of education or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Shipping Executive or any similar role
• Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge/experience within the FMCG industry will be considered an asset
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
