Job Description

The Director of Operations is a senior strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the operational frameworks, governance structures, business processes and operational excellence systems that enable Cavista Holdings and its portfolio companies to scale effectively.

This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and partners closely with business leaders across the Group to drive operational excellence, process standardization and digitalization, organizational effectiveness, risk management, and business transformation.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, operational expertise, and change leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build policies, establish governance frameworks, optimize processes, and drive enterprise-wide operational improvements.

The Director of Operations will play a critical role in creating the systems, structures, and disciplines necessary to support sustainable growth, cross-functional alignment, and consistent execution across our portfolio companies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute group-wide operational strategies that align with business objectives, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen organizational performance across Cavista Holdings and its portfolio companies.
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance company-wide policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and operating standards that promote consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and management frameworks that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support effective business execution.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing scalable solutions that enhance productivity and business outcomes.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement through the adoption of best practices, performance disciplines, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Partner closely with business leaders and portfolio company executives to assess operational performance, address business challenges, and support strategic and operational priorities.
  • Build scalable operating models, structures, and frameworks that enable organizational growth, support business expansion, and improve overall effectiveness.
  • Develop and oversee Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks and reporting mechanisms that provide actionable insights and drive accountability at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct operational reviews and performance assessments to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen organizational capabilities, and increase operational maturity across the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, governance standards, and internal control frameworks while promoting a strong culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Lead enterprise risk management and business continuity initiatives by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and strategic risks.
  • Drive digital transformation, process automation, and technology enablement initiatives that improve decision-making, operational visibility, and business performance.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives through operational due diligence, integration planning, governance alignment, and post-acquisition stabilization efforts.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by promoting collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning while developing operational capabilities across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic recommendations and insights on operational effectiveness, governance, organizational capability, and business transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in Operations, Strategy, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Operations Professional, Project Management certifications, or equivalent highly desirable.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
  • At least 8 years in a senior operations leadership role such as Director, Head of Operations, General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Operations Excellence Leader, or equivalent.
  • Experience within a holdings company, private equity portfolio environment, multinational organization, management consulting firm, or diversified business group preferred.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing enterprise-wide policies, governance frameworks, operating procedures, and business process improvements.
  • Strong experience with process mapping, implementation and control using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Experience with Odoo ERP preferred.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale operational transformation and business improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting multiple business units, industries, or geographically distributed operations.
  • Strong experience collaborating with executive leadership and influencing strategic business decisions.
