Job Description
The Senior People Manager is responsible for enhancing the people management functions within our diverse portfolio of companies. This role involves developing and executing strategic initiatives in employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. The Senior People Manager will lead a team of Human resource professionals to ensure the alignment of strategies with business goals and contribute to creating a positive and productive work environment across all subsidiaries.
Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support the company’s business objectives.
Drive organizational change and development initiatives that enhance workforce effectiveness and culture.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Manage and resolve conflicts and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
Lead the development and implementation of performance management systems that align with company goals.
Guide managers in conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and developing employee growth plans.
Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses new employee orientation or onboarding.
Continuously benchmark against industry stand.
Execute a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusions and offerings for structures, employee experience, culture programs, performance, and new ways of working in collaboration with functional areas, global leadership, and employees.
Ensure that performance expectations are clear within the practice/unit, both for the unit and for employees.
Ensure that line managers are equipped with the skills to coach their people to higher levels of performance and ongoing development of their skills. This includes the management of underperformers and the effective engagement of the impacted employee.
Facilitation of resolution of employee engagement issues and consultatively creating sustained solutions to individual and collective employee challenges.
Foster a culture of inclusion and respect, ensuring that diversity is valued and leveraged within the workplace.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, providing direction, coaching, and support.
Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably within a holdings or diversified company.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in HR software and tools.
Additional Information
This position may require occasional travel to subsidiary locations. The Senior People Manager is expected to be a culture champion and drive initiatives that align with the company’s mission, values, and goals.
