Job Description

We are seeking a Government and External Affairs Director who will become a key driver in shaping a favorable business environment, advocating for our interests, and forging critical partnerships with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders. 

In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your policy analysis expertise and networking prowess to shape public policies, drive organizational growth, and make a lasting impact on executing our vision and mission.

As a Government and External Affairs Director, you will be responsible for supporting and executing the corporate vision and mission of Cavista Holdings, while delivering world-class experience and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Political Science, International Relations, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in government affairs, external relations, or public affairs.
  • Strong understanding of government structures, policy development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to navigate complex political landscapes and build relationships at all levels of government and industry associations.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategize, plan, and execute initiatives to achieve specific advocacy objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the impact of policies on the company's operations and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • A strong network of contacts in the Ekiti State government and political space.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%
