About the Hotel
The Hotel is based in Burford and is a highly rated 4-star, 1 rosette traditional English country house hotel in the Cotswolds. The hotel has 21 beautiful bedrooms which are individually designed, a cosy bar with local ales on tap and a 1 Rosette restaurant that can accommodate 80 + guests. Due to the hotels beautiful location the hotel hosts a number of weddings, functions and special occasions throughout the year.
Working as a General Manager
As a General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the operation and the management of a highly competent team, ensuring the hotel continues to achieve high standards and ensuring legal and statutory obligations are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry and for providing the ultimate customer experience. Good food knowledge, excellent hosting skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team is essential. This role is very hands on so a flexible approach and the ability to manage priorities is a must.
Other core tasks include making sure the hotel payroll is reflective of current business trends, helping to promote a prompt, professional appearance to the client and customer, to help lead the hotel and its teams through effective communication incorporating staff training, development and arbitration.
