Company Description

The Company is a manufacturer of coronary stents, balloon catheters, diagnostic and guiding
catheters. The company was found in 2007 by Turkish businessmen and by scientists living in
Denmark and Sweden. The major intention of the company is investing in small and medium
size medical device manufacturers to enable them to compete globally. The Company made its
first investment move by purchasing a medical device company called Nemed in Turkey in 2007.

        

Job Description

Develop a strategic HR function for the organization, and proactively lead and drive the
function to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Lead and ensure all HR policies, practices and systems in areas such as compensation &
benefits, staffing and learning & development are properly developed and implemented in
alignment to the overall global framework.
- Provide HR support and counsel regarding employee relations’ issues. Investigates complaints
disciplinary actions, reductions in force and terminations, and coordinates with Global HR.
- Reports to Chief Human Resources Officer relevant feedback on employee concerns and
views.
-Implement, monitor and report key HR metrics to support the Global HR.
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the HR function including being the central point in
employee interaction and problem issues resolution.
- Manage country payroll activities.
- Assists in improving current and designing new improved policies relating to employee
relations, as and when required or directed.
- Prepare necessary annual statistics, and any required reports on an ad hoc basis relating to
employee relations.

Assists leadership team through the performance of support services for activities such as
employment, placement, personnel administration, employee relations, leave processing, etc.
- Participates in disciplinary and grievance investigations and meetings and propose
recommendations or report findings.
- Assists in the implementation of approved policies, such as monitoring the dates for evaluating
performance for confirmation after probation, observes and reports late return from leave, expiry
dates of passports, labor cards, etc.
- Handles terminations and initiates requisite documentation of all employees, ensuring
repatriation arrangements are made in conjunction with other sections of the Human Resources
Department.
- Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals, as well as the focus statement of the
department.
- Completes annual health and safety education requirements.
- Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety
hazards.
- Undertakes a variety of tasks, varying from assisting in carrying out investigations on
disciplinary issues, leave records, compassionate leave policy and provides statistical
information on employee terminations, leavers and other employee related issues.
- Provides the leadership necessary to achieve a satisfied and competent employee work
environment through establishing a climate for growth and challenge, doing timely performance
appraisals and developing/ mentoring management and staff.
- Responsible for maintaining all HR related files, processing of payroll and other HR related
tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required competencies for the related job title
Education level: B.Sc. degree, would be good if Master’s Degree is preferred in Psychology,
Organizational Management, or Human Resources.
Language: English (Fluent)
Experience: Six to eight years of progressively responsible experience in the function ideally in
healthcare function, three to five of which have involved managerial responsibility.
Technical knowledge: EFQM principles, SAP HR Modules, HR management principles, process
and procedures, Hiring and Staffing, Coaching Techniques
Competency: multitasking, problem solving approach, agile, goal oriented, entrepreneurial spirit
