Job Description
The Site Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for the erection and assembly of
pipelines, supports and rotatory and static equipment of the SWTP, reporting directly to
the Contract Manager.
- Will be the maximum responsible of the Plant´s Equipment and pipelines installation.
- Assure the Quality Control Plan is fulfilled, and requirements are met.
- Will supervise all mechanical related works within the Project.
- Will co-ordinate the works under his scope and plan them according to a plan.
- Will maintain close communication with the Contract Manager.
- Will advise subordinates on good practices related to assembly and erection of equipment and piping.
- Will personally inspect the works under his scope.
- Ensure observance of safety rules, regulations and practices.
- Assure that the Health and Safety Plan and the Security Plant are implemented.
- Perform related work as required.
- Good Team work skills required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Mechanical Supervision Graduation from High School or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge and skills.
Experience required :
Ten (10) years in Water Treatment Plants.
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of Sewage Water Treatment Plants and auxiliary equipment, tools, methods/standards and practices used in their assembly and/or operation.
- Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety regulations and
- precautions involved in the erection and operation of SWTP´s.
- Ability of understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to supervise the work of others.
- Ability to detect defects in mechanical equipment installation and malfunctions in equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret and work from plans, blueprints and sketches.
- Ability to propose improvements for the Project.
