Job Description

Based in our Community Links Hub, you will be joining the growing Finance, Benefit, & Debt team which provides a wrap-around service delivering advice to those in crises involving debt, welfare, housing, and legal advice. 

You will be a fundamental asset to joining up those that need our support and the support that we provide. 

Joining the team as a Senior Welfare Benefits Advisor you will: 

  • Support those in need in accessing the advice and support that they need. 
  • Support a wide range of service users that are referred to Catch22.
  • Support service users with calculating benefits, completing paperwork, and ensure they are getting the benefits they need.
  • Advice those that are appealing the process and help them in their applications for additional support.
  • Manage a case load of service users and ensure that all records are up-to-date.

Training opportunities are available for those joining Catch22 in a practitioner role.

Qualifications

Candidates mush have:

  • Specialist knowledge of welfare benefits, including legacy benefits and universal credit.
  • Two years’ experience of giving welfare benefits advice, at casework level

Additional Information

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours of work: Full time, 38 hours per week
Contract: Permanent


*This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS and HMPPS vetting checks.
*This is a community-based role, with travel across various delivery and training sites across London.
