Our Employability division is expanding due to the procurement of new contracts and we therefore look to grow our frontline delivery team.

You will be an experienced Employment Coach/Advisor that reports to the Operations Manager and sit within an employability team delivering on up to 10 employability contracts funded by DWP, Barclays, Microsoft, Google, Violence Reduction Unit amongst others.

Catch22 are very proud to be part of Shaw Trust’s Local Delivery Network for The Work and Health Programme Job Entry: Targeted Support Delivery Model. Employment Coaches will work with Shaw Trust Employment Advisors and the caseload within set geographic boundaries, to provide a timetable of supportive interventions.

Interventions will include, but not be limited to:

Re-building confidence and self-efficacy in Post Covid-19 environment (including support for anxieties about working in a Covid-19 environment with a peer support network, potential access to mental health and wellbeing support).

Advice and guidance for those wishing to change sector (e.g. building on the sector-based “Step Into” guides)

Employability support (including CV writing; application process, Interview techniques, including online interviewing).

Sector Route-ways, providing integrated accredited and non-accredited training for participants looking to change sectors.

Job Clubs sharing of targeted vacancies, providing sector specific and geographical specific group sessions, with support to apply for vacancies.

Learning Support, providing wrap around support to individuals undertaking accredited training, supporting them to overcome barriers and remain motivated.

Digital Upskilling, ensuring the highest percentage of participants on WHP Employment Support can access the digital services available, and preparing for the future workplace.

 

Qualifications

Essential

Full UK driving license with access to own car.

Experience within the employability sector.

Knowledge of approaches including those relating to coaching, emotional intelligence that ensure people are well prepared for the world of work.

Experience of providing high quality CV, job search, interview support to learners/job seekers.

Experience in group delivery.

Experience of providing high quality coaching support that ensures learners access employment and apprenticeships.

Able to build a learners/job seekers self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation to help them achieve in the world of work and lasting employment/career development.

Experience of liaising with employers to arrange interviews and getting feedback on candidates.

Identifying skills and qualities in a learner to match appropriately with vacancies.

Progressing learners and job seekers into apprenticeships and employment and sustaining them in these.

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with referral partners to ensure a constant flow of new referrals.

Positive, enthusiastic approach to problem solving with a “can do” attitude.

Have good communication skills.

Be able to gain people's confidence and put them at ease.

Be persuasive, persistent and patient.

Be able to cope with pressure.

Be flexible and adaptable.

Have good organisational and administrative skills.

Have the ability to prioritise.

Desirable

IAG Level 3.

AET.

Member of the IEP.

ERS Level 3 Certificate or Diploma.

Coaching qualification.

Experience and knowledge of strength based recruitment.

Additional Information

Location: Hertfordshire (remote / community face to face delivery)

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum

Contract: 6 Month Fixed-term with potential to be made permanent dependent on programme. Full time 37 hours per week (however part-time applicants will be considered).
