Jobs 22 is seeking expressions of interest from individuals for the role of Employment Coach for the exciting new Restart employment support scheme, which will support unemployed individuals across Central England and Wales.

Jobs 22 is an exciting new company created by and jointly owned by Catch22 Charity Limited, a social business operating across all areas of the welfare cycle in the UK, and Angus Knight Group a major provider of human services across Australia and skills provider in the UK.

Jobs 22 brings together the best of the third and private sectors with aligned values to deliver social and economic outcomes for British people. This is particularly important now as the effects of Covid 19 bite into the economy.

The Restart scheme is a new government initiative that will give Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 12 months enhanced support to find jobs in their local area, working with employers, local government and other partners to deliver tailored support for individuals.

Job Description

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals for the role of Employment Coach.  As Employment coach you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating individuals to overcome any barriers’ they may have in their life to get back into meaningful and sustainable employment.

If you are passionate about making a difference to peoples’ lives through work and want to join a mission led organisation this could be the job for you. We don’t mind if you haven’t any experience of working in this sector, what we want are dedicated and motivated individuals who put people first.

Qualifications

Skills and attributes

You’ll need to have:

  • Motivational and inspirational attitude and communication skills
  • Resilience and mental toughness
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to react to different and challenging situations
  • Excellent digital literacy
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach to problem solving, with a “can do” attitude
  • Be persuasive, persistent and patient
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • An understanding of how to effect positive behavioural change
  • Good self-awareness and emotional intelligence
  • A passion to make a difference to people’s lives
  • Welsh language skills (this would be beneficial in the Welsh area of operations, but not essential)
