Job Description
We are seeking an analytical professional with a background in finance, accounting, or business to join our Advisory department and provide financial management services related to our Federal client's most pressing tasks.
As a Staff Consultant, you be an integral member of Castro & Company’s Advisory Team and will have the opportunity to support our clients by:
Recommending defensible positions, considering courses of action, and considering the most beneficial options to the government related to financial management challenges
Developing consolidated financial statements, notes, and related audit support documentation in compliance with Federal Accounting Standards (FAS).
Performing financial statement analytical review.
Writing and updating accounting policies.
Preparing technical briefings to Castro Senior Management.
Drafting accounting position papers.
Documenting critical financial reporting processes.
Reviewing and assessing compliance with OMB Circular A-123.
Assisting with developing requirements and cross-walking changes.
Supporting Management with various analyses and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
To achieve these tasks, you must possess the following Essential Qualities:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field: Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics
Ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship Required
Interest or experience with Federal Financial Statement Audits and Reporting and OMB Circular A-123
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis.
